BREIGHTON AIR FIELD – 2019

Resin repairs & 2 Coat Epoxy Resin System

PSR Industrial Flooring where contacted by our client for a high spec epoxy coating resin system to help finalise the look for the brand new aircraft build so they could house there vast collection of aircraft.

The project started mid-November 2018 and had a specified two week project timescale. The floors were taken back by the PSR team using high performance HTC planetary grinders powered by LPG generators. This had the advantage of being 99% dust-free, self-contained and emitting water vapour as opposed to other toxic fumes.

After finishing the grinding the first coat of epoxy resin was applied by our own professional flooring coaters, where everything was taped up to help provide a quality finish to the building’s edges of the internal walls. This was then followed up on the next day by taping up the edges once again before the second and final coat of the epoxy resin was applied.

ANGLOCO – 2018

Resin repairs & 2 Coat Epoxy Resin System

PSR Industrial Flooring are pleased to have been invited to site in order to apply for further epoxy HB coatings to another floor for a continued client.

Phase 1 of the works were undertaken earlier this year and consisted of dust free planetary grinding followed by 2 Coat application of Epoxy HB Coating Systems.

The client was extremely happy with the completed projected and has maintained a good cleaning regime that has kept the floor immaculate condition whilst heavy traffic and the building of fire engines on a daily basis would have no doubt lead to the deterioration of any standard floor paint.

Again we hope to be soon preparing and installing one of our HB resin systems to another of Anglocos’ new units soon.

COCA COLA NORTHAMPTON – ON-GOING

Floor Repairs, Floor Joint Repairs, Floor Coating & Floor Painting

Northampton Regional Service Centre is a 250,000 sq. ft. warehouse owned by Coca-Cola Enterprises. Although the warehouse is only 16 years old the floor had degraded badly resulting in the need for extensive repairs to be carried out on cracked and uneven eroded floor slabs, worn expansion jointing and floor demarcation painting.

This site operates 24/7 and loads and unloads up to 200 articulated vehicles per day. The project was completed on time, within the budget and to Coca-Cola’s standards whilst minimising disruption to operations on the site.

John Coburn (Midlands Quality, Safety and Environment Manager for Coca-Cola), said:

"Myself and the operations team at Northampton were extremely impressed with the work completed by PSR Industrial Flooring Ltd. Delivering a quality flooring finish at a very competitive price are just a few of the criteria we look for when contracting out work; contractors must also have an understanding of our operational requirements whilst advising on best value for money, preventative maintenance and support.

After working with several contractors in the past who have failed to meet our requirements, we are pleased to have finally met a company that can. We look forward to working with PSR Industrial Flooring Ltd in the future."

OLYMPIC PARK – 2012

Six week project timescale to return floors of the International Broadcast Centre used for the London 2012 Olympic and Special Olympic Games to a rejuvenated state ready for new use.

PSR Industrial Flooring Ltd was appointed by clients FCC Elliott - a joint venture between Spanish infrastructure giant FCC Construction and Irish contractor P. Elliott, to return the 46,000 m2 floor space of the London Olympics 2012 International Broadcast Centre [IBC], to a rejuvenated state ready to receive further coverings.

The project started mid-November and had a specified six week project timescale. The floors were taken back by the PSR team using high performance HTC planetary grinders powered by LPG generators. This had the advantage of being 99% dust-free, self-contained and emitting water vapour as opposed to other toxic fumes.

Paul Radley, Managing Director of PSR Industrial Flooring Ltd, said:

“We were delighted to win this high profile contract from our clients FCC Elliott following the lengthy tender process. We were however constantly mindful of the huge penalty disclosures that would be incurred should the technical transformation of the floors not be completed on time. We had 12 engineers working around the clock, 7 days per week to ensure there were no delays and we used colossal amounts of different diamond tooling along with epoxy resins to treat spalled areas where internal walls had been removed”.

PSR Industrial Flooring Ltd are one of a very few companies who use the LPG generators that emit water-vapour. Following heavy investment into high-performance equipment, PSR are able to offer clients a quality flooring finish at very competitive prices which are more environmentally friendly. Paul concludes:

“We have previously worked for the Olympic sponsors Coca Cola on various flooring projects, including a warehouse site also at the Olympic Park containing all food and beverage for those at the Games. We have always delivered on time and to budget and our clients have always been pleased with the end result. I am happy to say on this occasion we were able to hand the project over two days early to the delight of our clients FCC Elliott JV”.
