Go Beyond Grey: Why You Should Jazz up Your Floors
Here at PSR we’re pretty passionate about our resin flooring, and the other floor services which we can offer you, but that doesn’t mean we’re blind to the fact that sometimes plain flooring can look a little dull. The good news is that this really doesn’t have to be the case; floors can be jazzed up in all kinds of different ways, from a lick of paint to a layer of coating, allowing you to make them a lot more appealing. Still sceptical? Here are a few of our top reasons to think about giving your industrial floors a makeover.
Health and Safety
Health and safety is one of those things which it’s too easy to overlook until it’s too late, but with flooring you can’t afford to take the risk. Work in an industrial kitchen? Even with the most careful staff, spills are an inevitable hazard of the job – a non slip coating may just save the day. The same is true if your flooring is seeing a lot of footfall, and especially if you expect members of the public to be traipsing back and forth over it.
A simple coating could improve grip and help people keep both feet on the ground, allowing you to feel more confident in your walkways.
Ease of Use
A coat of paint can be the difference between car park chaos and a smooth-running, perfectly ordered system. We’re serious – although you probably already know the importance of painting in lines to mark individual bays, how about a designated walkway for pedestrians? Arrows to show which route to take? These little touches help make everyone’s lives easier, and avoid gridlock.
And this doesn’t just go for car parks. Anywhere where you want to direct people, a coat of paint may be able to do so more efficiently than signs on the walls, so it’s certainly worth looking into.
This is our favourite reason to get your flooring decorated, but it’s also sadly the easiest to overlook. Think about it this way – you wouldn’t leave your walls bare when they could be decorated to help make the space look more aesthetically pleasing, so why should the floor be any different?
Even a warehouse, which is predominantly a functional environment, can benefit from some interior design – companies put a lot of time and effort into ensuring that their office environments produce a positive and productive atmosphere for employees, but for many workers the warehouse is their office, so spare them a thought next time you’re wondering whether your premises need a makeover!
However you choose to decorate your floor, the most important thing is to ensure that it is stable, sturdy and secure. Whether you need new flooring, repairs, or you want to benefit from our floor coating and painting services you can get in touch today, online or at 01226 382864.
